My second Pac-Man themed comic. By pure coincidence I posted the first almost exactly a year ago.
I easily spent more time on light and shadows on this comic than any other comic trying to mimic the pale glimmer of a tv screen in a dark room. I think it came out well.
The real insult to injury is that they were the gross white chocolate kind.
Another cartoon that appeared on Boomer‘s caption contest. No one submitted a caption that was close to what I had in mind, which I think is awesome. Yet still there were many hilarious entries. The winning caption went something like “Poor guy, I hear he lost it all in a pyramid scheme.”
Even the title is a balloon pun. Heck yes!
Merry Thanksgiving, everyone!
This comic was inspired by real life events. One day as I sat down at my desk a mosquito flew in front of my face as if to introduce himself. I appreciated the gesture but his service sucked. heheh, get it?
It’s interesting to me how casual little doodles can inspire and bloom into full fledged comics. This one came from just a random doodle I drew of a robot accidentally dropping a stuffed animal. Look-at-it!
Another cartoon coming straight outta the Boomer Magazine Caption Contest. I could have been happy just featuring it in the magazine but I wanted to milk everything I can out of this comic.
I’m pretty sure that Al Capone was never part of a bank heist, but I’m also pretty sure he was never a zombie. All I ask for is a little suspension of reality. Previously on Zombie Capone: Undead Gangster.
I never want Whatever’s Lovely to rely on edgy shock value because there’s already too much of that out there. That being said sometimes I have an idea for a comic that I like that laughs at and plays off of the shock value of death. So I’m continuing the tradition of putting my laugh-at-death comics up during Halloween like I did with this one and this one last year. Also look forward to Zombie Capone’s triumphant return next week!
This is one of the first comics I drew for Whatever’s Lovely, and the first illustration that was included in Boomer Magazine‘s caption contest. I wanted to save it for when it was actually Fall, and then I delayed a few weeks until it actually felt like Fall.
He should have gotten hole insurance. Allstate: Are you in good claws?
I’m glad you stuck around to read the post-comic comic. Imagining John Belushi as an exorcist priest is my favorite part about this week’s comic. Thanks for your time, now go do something responsible.
As cool as Fox Mulder is on the X-files he could probably use more balance in his life. And more inspirational posters. Bonus alternate comic:
You gotta keep those cute girl squirrels coming somehow or other.
It’s easy to avoid being taken alive when you’re never actually alive to begin with. I have a few other comics featuring Zombie Capone coming up so if you hate him then, well, too bad.
In doing research for this comic I learned that real life “laser mazes” exist in a recreational capacity. I MUST GO.
It amazes me what you can do in Photoshop even without a Wacom tablet. That being said, I wish I had a Wacom tablet.
Another comic that originally appeared in Boomer Magazine’s caption contest. I may have possibly perhaps have been maybe tempted to steal some of the winning captions and use them as my own.
